Privacy Policy

Plain English summary: We collect your email to notify you when HookMagnet launches and to save your hooks. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. You can delete your account and data at any time.
1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect
We collect the following information when you use HookMagnet:
- Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account
- Hook sessions — the topics, platforms, and hooks you generate
- Saved hooks — hooks you choose to save to your library
- Usage data — pages visited, features used, generation counts (no personal browsing history)
- Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data only to provide and improve HookMagnet:
- To send you a launch notification when HookMagnet goes live (waitlist)
- To save and retrieve your hook sessions and library
- To send product updates and feature announcements (you can unsubscribe anytime)
- To notify you when your niche is trending (if you opt in)
- To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe
- To improve the product based on how features are used
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sell it to any third party.
4. Cookies and Tracking
We use minimal cookies necessary to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
We may use a basic analytics tool to understand which pages and features are used. This data is aggregated and not tied to individuals.
5. Third-Party Services
HookMagnet uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — database and authentication (supabase.com/privacy)
- Stripe — payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
- Resend — email delivery (resend.com/legal/privacy-policy)
- Anthropic — AI hook generation (anthropic.com/privacy)
- Vercel — hosting (vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy)
6. Data Retention
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Waitlist emails are deleted after launch if you do not create an account within 60 days.
7. Your Rights (UK/GDPR)
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Withdraw consent at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (ico.org.uk)

8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure database access controls, and using established third-party providers with strong security practices.
9. Children
HookMagnet is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child, please contact us immediately.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will notify you by email of any significant changes. Continued use of HookMagnet after changes constitutes acceptance.
